Citizens
In the context of DataGuard CPM, a Citizen refers to an individual whose data is managed within your system. Legally, this person may be referred to as a Data Subject. From a marketing perspective, these are your users, contacts, leads or customers—essentially, any individual who interacts with your organisation and whose data is subject to your management practices.
Key Points
-
Identification: Each Citizen is associated with a unique reference that identifies them within your system. This reference could be tied to a proprietary database or to a third-party tool like Salesforce. This reference is crucial for managing the individual's data across various platforms and ensuring consistency.
-
API Documentation: For technical implementation, including managing Citizens programmatically, refer to the Citizens API Documentation.
